11 months in Charleston, South Carolina 17 years in Wharton, Texas 77488 6 years in Houston (at Rice University and working for the Texas State Welfare Dept.) about 20 years in Boston area with Brandeis and Simmons for degrees 14 months in Liberia (middle of the Boston years) for fieldwork for Anth dissertation 20 years in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins (Eisenhower and Welch Libraries) + Villa Julie and University of Maryland College Park (teaching) At which point friends kept dying and moving away so I retired and... ... in 2019 I returned to Texas for the final twenty years (more or less)
